because they share so many design elements
with our freestanding Reference Series
speakers, their sound blends perfectly in
mixed systems, giving you maximum flexibility.
A 6.5-inch Cerametallic™ cone woofer with a
cast-polymer frame and a motor structure far
heftier than usual for such a speaker give the
RCW-3 a solid bass foundation that defies its
size. The titanium dome compression driver
tweeter is mated to a 5-inch square 90° x 60°
Klipsch Tractrix® Horn that can be pivoted to
focus the sound where it’s needed, which is a
great advantage when the speaker must be
mounted in a less-than-ideal location. Tweeter
and midbass attenuation controls give an
added measure of control in tailoring
the speaker’s output to the acoustics of
its environment.
The RCW-3’s flush-mount white frame and
rustproof, powder-coated aluminum grille can
be painted to blend into the wall; an IR
punchout accommodates standard infrared
receivers. Superior components and
construction ensure long, trouble-free service.
And the speaker’s 8-ohm impedance is
compatible with all amplifiers.
