  • Parasound A52+

    Parasound A52+

Parasound A52+ reissue available 12/17 available in black only From Parasound Parasound is introducing their new Halo A 52+ five-channel amplifier. The A 52+ is based on their highly successful A 52 and features significant upgrades in power output, circuitry refinements, and the latest Halo styling. The new model increases available power from 125 to 180 watts per channel into eight ohms and 255 watts into four ohms, with all channels driven. As with its predecessor, the Parasound Halo A 52+ is the work of audio legend John Curl, using high-bias Class A/AB and direct-coupled circuit topology. "The A 52 had a great run from 2003 to 2012," said Richard Schram, president and founder of Parasound. A growing number of requests for a moderately priced high-performance five-channel amplifier coming from customers and dealers made the A 52 ripe for re-engineering and an increase in power." The Parasound Halo A 52+ features a larger custom-made toroid power transformer to support its higher power output. It has five RCA unbalanced and five balanced XLR inputs, a separate module for each channel, DC Servos and relays to protect the amp and speakers. Features include automatic turn-on and a 3U chassis with rear carry handles, which is rack mountable with optional adaptors. The Parasound Halo A 52+ has a black anodized extruded front panel with new solid aluminum end-caps that are milled and hand-polished. These represent a fresh and refined Halo aesthetic. The Parasound Halo A 52+ will be available in Q4 of 2017 with a retail price of $2,995. Learn More

  • Krell Solo 575 New XD version mono amplifier each Call for price!

Krell Solo 575 New XD version mono amplifier each Call for price!

Krell Solo 575 XD Mono Power Amplifier 575 Watt Amplifier Featuring Krell iBias Technology Circuitry Highlights Krell iBias Class A technology allows our latest amplifiers to run in full Class A mode to full power while minimizing heat generation. All signal gain is realized in the current domain using discrete, proprietary, multiple-output current mirrors with extraordinary open loop linearity. There are no generic integrated circuits or op amps used anywhere. Current mirrors in the final gain stages use a new output power device that operates at a 73% higher voltage, delivers almost 10% more current, and offers 120 watts of additional power handling capability as compared to previous devices. The signal path is fully complementary and balanced . Independent complementary pre driver and driver stages for the positive and negative output transistors make the output stages extremely fast and linear. Krell amplifiers are fully direct-coupled, with no capacitors in the audio signal path. This design gives the Krell amplifiers lower internal impedance, which allows firmer, more precise control of your speakers. Krell CAST Circuitry delivers the purest signal when connected to Krell CAST equipped preamplifiers. Power Supply Highlights Four 750VA toroidal transformers feed amplifier modules that include the audio circuitry, rectifier, and power supply filtering mounted to an individual heat sink. This design shortens the electrical path from the power supply to the output transistors, reducing the overall impedance and allowing the circuit to respond faster and control the speakers better and more accurately. Feature Highlights Network connectivity brings convenience, monitoring, and reporting to end users from any smartphone, tablet, or laptop. Amplifier configuration options include display brightness and timeout. For energy conservation, the amplifiers can be programmed to power off at a preset time of inactivity. Individual channels can be muted and firmware updates can be initiated from the web server. Excessive current, output DC, fan speeds, short circuit, and overheating are all monitored in real time. Messages are displayed on the front panel and reported on the web server interface. Additionally. end users can be sent an email notifying them of any operational anomalies. Learn More

  • Audeze The King - Bascom King design Amp 110 volt and 220 volt

Audeze The King - Bascom King design Amp 110 volt and 220 volt

The King The King Headphone It began when the Audeze team met the legendary electronics designer Bascom King in his design lab. Bascom has designed acclaimed amplifiers for Infinity, Marantz, Constellation Audio, PS Audio and others. He demoed a prototype headphone amplifier that so impressed everyone that they signed Bascom on the spot to develop the new headphone amplifier exclusively for Audeze. The King’s circuitry is very different from the typical complementary output topology; it uses the same polarity N-channel MOSFET outputs as these are more alike and complementary than N- and P-channel MOSFETs. Just before the output stage is a two-stage differential amplifier using a dual-triode tube for the input stage followed by a P-channel MOSFET differential driver stage. The driver stage supplies complementary drive to the N-channel output devices. Overall negative feedback is taken back to the input stage to include the input triode in the feedback loop. The circuit is DC-coupled from input to output and a servo control circuit keeps the output DC offset to within millivolts of zero. The overall symmetry of the circuitry eliminates most even-order harmonic distortion. The result is a low impedance, low distortion, wide frequency response output with immense musical transparency, a real emotional experience. Learn More

  • Conrad Johnson CAV45 S2 vacuum-tube stereo control amplifier

Conrad Johnson CAV45 S2 vacuum-tube stereo control amplifier

CAV45-S2 Stereo Control Amplifier The control amplifier represents a distinctly different approach to high-performance home audio. In many ways it is the ultimate embodiment of our design philosophy that simple circuits yield best results. Similar in function to an integrated amplifier, a control amplifier offers the significant potential improvement of eliminating extra connections, external cabling, and inter-device connection considerations that limit conventional audio systems. But the control amplifier also eliminates an entire stage of audio circuitry (the line stage) and its inherent colorations. The CAV45-S2 is a vacuum-tube control amplifier. Its audio circuit is similar to our highly regarded Classic Sixty power amplifier, with triode voltage gain and phase inverter stages and an output stage comprised of a pair of EL34s per channel operated in ultralinear mode to produce 45 watts per channel. The use of carefully selected, high-quality parts enables the CAV45-S2 to properly exploit the dramatic potential of a control amplifier to enhance the immediacy of musical experience afforded by fine recordings. All resistors in the audio circuits and related power supplies are precision metal film types. With the exception of the large power supply reservoir capacitors (which are specially chosen electrolytic capacitors bypassed by polypropylenes), all capacitors in these circuits use polystyrene and polypropylene dielectrics. This execution of minimalist circuitry with quality parts result in a control amplifier that is notable for its resolution of subtle dynamic shadings and palpable imaging, for a natural harmonic tonality, and extraordinary resolution. The CAV45-S2 features larger value electrolytic capacitors in the unregulated power supply, yielding improved bass response and lower noise floor. The binding posts are billet brass, rhodium over silver plate, with billet brass, gold plate nut. Learn More
