In 1985, Kevin Voecks became the Chief Engineer for Snell and would remain so for the next 10 years. He introduced the Type Q, the Type B, the 800 in wall series, the Type B minor, and the Type D. He also made several upgrades and design changes to the already existing line. In 1990, Snell teamed up with Lucas film to design the first line of THX loudspeakers, the 500 series. Kevin also created the Music and Cinema Reference System and the Type A Reference System. A product started by Kevin and finished later was the RCS 1000.
